You love a good DIY project. You’ve got ideas, Pinterest boards, maybe even blinds or shades in your cart.

What you don’t have (yet):

• Confidence that you’re choosing the right product for your windows
• Exact measurements so your order actually fits
• A local expert to sanity-check everything before you click “buy”
   

That’s where PNW Awnings’ DIY Design + Measure Service comes in.

We give you one hour of professional design consultation plus precise, pro-level measurements charged per window, so you can shop and install on your own—or hire us to do the install too!

This service is perfect if you:

• Plan to buy your own blinds or shades online or at a big-box store
• Are comfortable with DIY installation, but want expert design input up front
• Want someone who does this every day to measure everything correctly
• Don’t want to be “sold” on full-service—just want help getting it right
   

In other words: you handle the shopping and install, we handle the thinking and measuring.

1.  One-Hour In-Home Design Consultation.  

During your visit, your designer will:

• Walk through your home and talk about light, privacy, heat, and style goals for each room
• Help you decide what type of product makes sense (roller vs cellular vs faux wood, interior vs exterior, etc.)
• Discuss color, opacity, and operation (cordless, top/down, motorized options, etc.)
• Answer all those “is this overkill?” and “what would you do?” questions
   

2.  Professional Measurements.  After the design conversation, we’ll professionally measure each window you want to DIY and note inside or outside mount recommendations,  width and height recorded for each opening, notes on obstructions (cranks, handles, trim, tile, etc.) and any special conditions (uneven sills, out-of-square frames, etc.)

Within a short time after your appointment, you’ll receive a window-by-window measurement sheet (width, height and mount notes)

You can then:

• Order from your favorite online vendor
• Shop at a warehouse or home center with confidence
• Install the products yourself or hire your own installer
   

If you’d like a quote from PNW Awnings for products or installation later, we can absolutely do that—but it’s not required.

Because this is a DIY-focused service:

• You’re responsible for entering measurements correctly wherever you place your order
• The warranty on the products comes from the company you buy them from
• Our role is to measure and advise you on best practices
   

If you decide later that you’d like us to install what you purchased, we also offer install-only services for customer-supplied products (priced separately).

Our DIY Design + Measure Service is available in:

Medford, Central Point, Jacksonville, Eagle Point, White City, Ashland, Grants Pass, and surrounding Southern Oregon communities.

Our role is to measure accurately and advise you on best practices
 

If you decide later that you’d like us to install what you purchased, we also offer install-only services for customer-supplied products (priced separately).

  In-home visit with a PNW Awnings design specialist to plan out your windows.
   
• Professional Measurements: $15 per window
  Charged for each opening we measure during that visit.
